The memorable event has been officially recognized by the State as the Vietnam tradition fishing day, and the annual opening of the Catba tourist season as well as the launching of South Fishing Season of fishmen.
Among various cultural, arts performances, sport games and tourist activities of this year festival to celebrate the Uncle Ho Chi Minh’s visit to Cathai fishing village, some most noticeable and exciting were: the vote for Ha Long Bay to be the New Seven World Wonders in the evening of March 30nd; Tourist and Trading Fair from March 28nd to April 5th; Traditional Dragon Boats racing in Catba bay on Morning April 1st; particularly the grand opening ceremony of Catba Tourist Festival with special art performances in the evening of March 31st at the Catba quay.
