Tan Vu - Lach Huyen highway project added to the list of key transport projects

Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai, Head of the State Steering Committee on Key Transport Projects has agreed to add three more projects to the list of key transport projects, namely the Deo Ca Pass Tunnel on National Highway 1, theTan Vu – Lach Huyen Highway (Haiphong) and the upgrading of the Cho Gao canal.

 

The project of Tan Vu-Lach Huyen motorway was inauguarated by the Prime Minister in February 2014. This is the longest cross-sea bridge of Vietnam and also one of the longest of its kind in Southeast Asia at the moment.  The Tan Vu-Lach Huyen Highway is located on an important traffic axis from Cat Hai Island to Haiphong city through Dinh Vu peninsula, and connects the Lach Huyen Port with the Hanoi – Hai Phong Expressway and Highway No.05. The project is executed on a total length of 15.6 km.

The investment project to upgrade the Cho Gao Canal will run for 28.687 km, starting from km0+000 (the Vam Co river convergence) and ending at km28 + 687 (the Tien river convergence). The project has a total investment of 2,263.6 billion dong from government bond
